Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Operations Excellence, the Director, Data & Analytics leads the data & analytics (D&A) team of McKesson Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Biopharma and Provider Solutions (BPS) organization. In this role, you will play a key role in owning and delivering upon the data strategy of BPS. You will be responsible for ensuring that the BPS D&A team evolves to a Center of Excellence that (i) enables the delivery of \xe2\x80\x9cthe right insight to the right leaders at the right time\xe2\x80\x9d to augment their experience and intuition with actionable intelligence to make sound business decisions and (ii) unlocks additional value via advanced analytics for internal data consumers as well as external biopharma manufacturer clients. You will work closely with business owners and support functions to position the D&A team as a value-add translator between the business, analytics, and technology.

You will be accountable for leading a cross functional team, setting direction, and deploying resources to streamline and level-up the D&A capabilities of BPS. You will integrate activities and direction across multiple workgroups and departments when it comes to projects under the D&A umbrella. You will also be accountable for customer satisfaction, D&A products, and overall maturity of BPS national D&A capabilities. You will partner with the Director of Data Commercialization to ensure that external-facing offerings are relevant and resonate with customer needs. You will represent BPS in enterprise initiatives related to D&A.

Section A \xe2\x80\x93 Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the implementation of the data strategy for all BPS, including but not limited to; Patient Support Programs (PSPs), Specialty Pharmacies, INVIVA infusion clinics, Provider Solutions, and specialized distribution.

Lead the development of a cohesive standardized approach to sharing data, reporting solutions, and dashboards with manufacturers and internal data consumers.

Direct conversion of all McKesson Technology driven reports for manufacturers (incl. sunsetting current portals) to processes/tools driven by business units (BUs).

Lead and facilitate enterprise data warehousing initiatives across all BPS business units, with a detailed understanding of maintaining logical and ethical walls for data that belongs to Biopharma manufacturers. Lead the transition of all BPS data to McKesson\xe2\x80\x99s enterprise data warehouse,

Oversee automation of processes related to reporting.

Oversee and direct efforts related to maintaining data quality.

Partner with corporate Master Data Management team to implement master data management strategy across all BPS business units.

Evolve current D&A team to offer Insights-as-a-Service (from internal-facing hindsight to internal/external-facing foresight), primarily to PSPs, Specialty Pharmacies, infusion clinics, and other teams servicing specialists/prescribers and specialty manufacturers.

Direct the development and evolution of (i) business health, (ii) project-specific, and (iii) therapeutic area dashboards for BPS executives, incl. managing timely resolution of ad-hoc requests.

Refine and expand the use of the internal/external PSP dashboard solution, in partnership with Director of Data Commercialization.

Strengthen ties with corporate D&A team and oversee the roll-out of enterprise initiatives at BPS (enterprise-wide hub and spoke model for D&A).

Provide thought leadership in streamlining financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting.

Support D&A needs in RFPs and strategizing for lead generation.

Lead other key projects related to D&A involving BPS.

Section B \xe2\x80\x93 Position Requirements

Bachelor\'s Degree in data/analytics, business or healthcare related field.

9-12 years of relevant experience in data & analytics.

4+ years of people management experience.

Strong understanding of data needs within the context of providing services for pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, and providers related to PSPs, Specialty Pharmacies, distribution, and other offerings related to specialty healthcare is essential.

Understanding of supply chain for specialty medications. Related financial knowledge is an asset.

Experienced in working on complex to highly complex issues where (i) analysis of situation requires a good understanding of organizational objectives, and (ii) results depend on integrating the activities of multiple workgroups and disciplines.

Experienced in learning and connecting complex data sets with best-in-class enterprise software solutions (including but not limited to PowerBI, Snowflake or similar platforms).

Ability to (i) learn new software platforms quickly and independently, and (ii) support team members in obtaining required technical training and support on an ongoing basis.

Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts related to dashboarding, data visualization, data modeling, and automation.

Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to coordinate between cross-functional teams (IT BI Data Warehousing, and leading front-end analysts).

Capable of conducting projects requiring specialized knowledge in client-facing D&A solutions.

Contributed to the development of innovative D&A principles and ideas.

Ability to manage multiple projects toward effective solutions and according to budget and timelines.

Good understanding of financial concepts related to D&A product/service profitability.

Experienced in providing direction to end-to-end delivery of D&A products for internal and external customers.

Strong ability in prioritizing and managing frequent interactions with direct reports, customers, peer group managers (incl. McKesson\xe2\x80\x99s D&A community), and senior management.

Experienced in clearly communicating organizational and functional strategy and translating it into functional goals.

Uses independent judgement to accomplish objectives without considerable direction.

Excellent attention to details with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.

Creative and innovative thinker.

Collaborative, customer focused, and able to create visible value to client and within the organization.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in digesting and targeting your message to various stakeholders with competing priorities.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$112,300 - $187,100
