Role Mandate:

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Asset Protection, the Director of Corporate Security will work in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for leading all \xe2\x80\x9ccorporate\xe2\x80\x9d security functions which include but are not limited to: corporate internal investigations of both a criminal and code of conduct nature; physical security of all Regional support centers and the Home Office located in Brampton, ON; lead third-party security providers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Promptly and confidentially conduct internal investigations into alleged code of conduct or criminal activity involving colleagues working in support centers and the Home Office.
  • Determines investigative course of action including investigative priority and utilization of third-party services, for all allegations against support center colleagues.
  • Prepares investigative case files and conducts interviews to substantiate investigative findings.
  • Manages the development, implementation and continuous refinement of physical security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security protocols in all support centers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of fraud trends as well as current techniques in detecting fraudulent operations.
  • Designs and implements programs to prevent fraudulent activity.
  • Testify in judicial proceedings (criminal, civil, labor, etc).
  • Lead all aspects of security planning and coverage for major corporate events.
  • Develop and coordinate programs to address travel risk issues.
Role Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of progressive investigative experience.
  • Certification in Behavioral Analysis Interviewing and exceptional interviewing skills.
  • Ability to use technology and analytics to detect criminal activity.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Heightened sense of urgency and ability to work in crisis situations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada.
  • Ability to deal with critical issues with integrity and professional judgment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills including strategic planning and thinking.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence internal partners in matters associated with corporate security programs or initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain and develop a close liaison with local, Provincial, and Federal law enforcement authorities.
  • Familiarization with CCTV and alarm systems. Participate in the planning of new and renovated support centers to decide on CCTV placement, hardware, and procedures.
  • Ability to travel when required.
