Today, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an individual to be the head of content and creative in the newly created Social Media Centre of Excellence (COE), to bring that innovation and passion to digital channels. We\'re looking for someone who has an entrepreneurial-spirit, have a proven track record leading digital and social teams to deliver innovative and ROI-focused campaigns and be a passionate early adopter of digital trends.

This is a pivotal role to our overall success at Loblaw because without meaningful real time content our customers have less visibility to our wonderful products that we bring to our shelves each day. Based in our Brampton office, we are fast paced and a collaborative team working to better grocery shopping, beauty, pharmacy, and loyalty. To achieve these goals, we are looking for talented and passionate individuals who want to collaborate and solve challenging problems and make a significant and lasting impact on Canadians.

As the Director, Content and Creative of the Social Media COE, you will have an enormous opportunity to build the best \xe2\x80\x98social media\xe2\x80\x99 experience for our customers nationwide. You will work closely with other marketing, brands, digital, media and communications teams to define the Social Media COE KPIs.

We are looking for a candidate who is a creative social media expert who lives and breathes all things creative and social media and have a proven track record as a creative innovator and team leader. Someone who is you are on top of the latest platforms and updates, from TikTok to Reels to BeReal. Lastly, you are passionate about content marketing \xe2\x80\x93 elevating brands to their desired business outcomes.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:
  • Reporting to the Sr. Director, Social Media COE , for the newly created Social Media COE including implementing new creative strategies, growing content services for our brands and developing and hiring new team members
  • You will lead a team of content creators, copywriters, and designers - train and teach the entire team about new and innovative digital content strategies and trends by providing ongoing support and training
  • Generate and present content marketing reports and analyses for feedback
  • Oversee and manage all Loblaw content marketing for our divisional brands and control brands
  • Develop best practices that allow content to integrate seamlessly with divisional and control brands teams
  • Oversee and manage social media communities for brands including organic and paid strategies
  • Oversee and manage content budgets for brand clients with clear ROI
  • Partner with Loblaw Agency to deliver content marketing for brands


Does this sound like you?
  • 8+ years of professional experience in digital and/or social media marketing; preference for candidates with experience in an agency environment
  • Proven leadership managing a team to deliver outstanding content marketing campaigns
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, deliverables and client relationships simultaneously
  • Outstanding client service capabilities
  • Expert understanding of strategy and execution across digital and social media platforms
  • Expert at digital and social media reporting metrics and analytics
  • Expert at WordPress, Google Analytics and Facebook Business Manager
  • Knowledge of email marketing, digital advertising, content production and SEO/SEM
