Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Planning & Optimization, this position will be responsible for assessing and executing on Commercial initiatives designed to optimize commercial/midstream activities and maximize value for Nutrien. This will be accomplished by using strong collaboration and change management skills to build support to achieve our core objectives and accelerate value creation across our global business.
What you will do:
Optimization efforts across the Commercial segment including development and execution of value creation plans, as well alignment of the portfolio of plans regarding their prioritization, resourcing, and scheduling
Working closely with leadership, identify, prioritize, develop/structure, and project manage the analysis and recommendations (which include assessing alternatives, stress-testing assumptions, and determining optimal opportunities) of potential commercial value creation opportunities
Support the annual and in-year Commercial planning processes, by coordinating and communicating analysis and other deliverables of key areas of strategic interest (e.g. Product Review analysis and both "Market to Customer" and "Concept to Product" assessments)
Significant interactions and negotiations with internal stakeholders to build alignment and desired business outcomes with the goal of maximizing sustainable value creation and profitability for Nutrien
Provide leadership and support across the Commercial segment to connect operational and financial processes and data
Preparation of materials used for communicating with internal key stakeholders
Benchmarking of external information that would provide insight for the Commercial segment
As part of commercial optimization analysis, identify quick-win opportunities for the business and drive execution
Work cross-functionally within the organization to influence and create value added initiatives that contribute to business performance
Main Stakeholders:
This role will have significant working relationships across the organization and will require strong collaboration skills to achieve support across the Upstream and Commercial segments
This role will potentially interact internally within Nutrien but may also have interactions with our customers and suppliers from time to time

Required Professional Qualifications and Education:
A degree in Business or a related area is required. A postgraduate degree (MBA) is strongly preferred

Experience working in Finance, Business Development, Partnerships, and Strategy
Strong project management skills and proven success in managing initiatives from start to finish with strong critical thinking and the ability to assess when to and then pivot directions when needed for organizational success
Strong understanding of successful change management approaches and ability to consider vast stakeholder needs and apply to solutions that incorporate and recognize differing needs
Must have an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for working in less structured environments
Ability to manage time and commitment to the achievement of deadlines
Ability to shift between long-term strategic initiative development and tactical operational execution
Ability to achieve alignment across various cross-functional teams
Hyper organized go-getter with experience in getting things done
