The Director, Clinical Planning & Operational Readiness plays a crucial role for Northern Health (NH) in guiding the design of major capital redevelopment projects from a clinical perspective. Reporting to the Senior Clinical Planning Officer- UHNBC Tower, the Director, Clinical Planning & Operational Readiness draws upon extensive knowledge of clinical services to support capital projects in creating healthcare environments that prioritize patient well-being, streamline workflows, and promote optimal healthcare outcomes. In accordance with the established vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of NH, the Director, Clinical Planning & Operational Readiness executes the delivery of clinical and operational requirements for redevelopment projects that will meet the project delivery approach such as Alliance and Construction Management. The Director uses data from quality indicators, financial targets, and research to develop frameworks, systems, and monitoring processes that measure and improve client care within NH. The Director translates provincial mandates and NH-wide direction into operational strategies, while working collaboratively with clinical operational leadership at UHNBC and the Alliance Management Team (AMT) to ensure smooth integration into service delivery. The Director plays a key role in the standardization of quality performance and performance monitoring across Northern Health.
Reports to the Senior Clinical Planning Officer (Acute Tower) initially and reassigned to the Alliance Team on formation, Works in collaboration with the Alliance Project Manager (APM) and team members on the project.
This position is expected to be working from the UHNBC Tower Project Office Located in Prince George BC.
Starting salary will be approximately from $128,298 to $160,372 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

##### Qualifications
• Master's degree in business, health care administration or related field plus a clinical background in a related health care discipline
• Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in progressively responsible positions in leadership and program management.
• Track record of establishing and managing fully integrated teams, preferably across multiple organizations.
• Assigned work stream related experience in the design and construction management of major multidisciplinary projects
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient care delivery systems in ambulatory and acute settings including knowledge of professional practice, nursing standards and application of standards to acute and ambulatory clinical design.
• Encourages and fosters a culture of proactive, open, and honest communication with Alliance Participants including Alliance Leadership Team (ALT).
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with medical staff and healthcare leaders at a strategic level.
• Analytical skills to translate data into action, complemented by program planning and management experience.
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated strong conviction and self-assured presence to effectively present data results and recommendations to audiences ranging from front line staff to physicians and Senior Executives.
• Ability to operate and coordinate efforts at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to influence and coordinate multiple internal partners around a common goal and strategy.
• Demonstrated understanding of NH data systems and experience in quantitative data analysis (including the collection, analysis, trending, and reporting of demographic data, utilization statistics, and survey data) and presentation of data is required.
• Experience working with internal and external partners.
• Experience with meeting planning and organizing various methods of consultation.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
