Job Description

We?re looking for a Director, Business Development in the food and support services industry.

The Director, Business Development will be responsible for driving new business growth through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and the delivery of customized solutions for clients. This role owns the full sales cycle ? from identifying opportunities and developing strategies to negotiating contracts and closing deals ? with a focus on building long-term, high-value client partnerships.
Director, Business Development responsibilities:

  • Drive lead generation through market research and strategic outreach
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with client organizations
  • Develop and deliver strategic proposals and presentations to win business
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client solutions meet decision criteria
  • Plan and support client events to strengthen relationships
  • Negotiate and close deals that align with business growth objectives
The successful candidate has:
  • Minimum 5+ years of proven success in a hunter sales role with no commission limits
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field (preferred)
  • Territory management expertise, ideally in Senior Living, Retirement, or Hospitality
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience with CRM applications and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 30% of the time
  • A high degree of personal accountability, integrity, and entrepreneurial drive
