full-time Director, Alternative Channels.





The Director, Alternative Channels will oversee the strategy, development and management of digital and virtual channels, including those designed to support personal banking, wealth management and local business service. The Director will focus on expanding Libro's reach through alternative channels, and the integration of open banking and partnerships with third-party financial providers.


The role also involves driving the growth of digital distribution platforms, ensuring that both owners and local business can access tailored solutions through innovative and seamless digital channels. The role will focus on expanding and optimizing non-traditional service channels, such as digital banking, mobile applications, and other emerging technologies.


The Director, Alternative Channels will drive strategic initiatives to ensure Libro's competitive advantage in the marketplace by increasing owner engagement, operational efficiency and service accessibility. This role will deploy and execute market-leading, innovative solutions for Libro owners, reaching across the credit union to provide innovation and agility for superior experiences.


The successful candidate will:




Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive solution centre strategy focused on personal and family banking, local businesses and wealth management owners. Build and manage digital tools and resources to offer personalized financial solutions across these segments. Spearhead the creation, optimization and ongoing maintenance of a virtual sales channel to drive new owner acquisition and strengthen existing relationships. Use data analytics to monitor and drive the performance of virtual sales efforts, ensuring that virtual interactions are as impactful as in-person engagements. Establishes key performance indicators and metrics to measure the success of virtual banking initiatives. Lead the strategy for adopting and integrating open banking frameworks. Foster partnerships with FinTech companies, third-party providers, and other financial institutions to enhance service offerings and create innovative banking products. Oversee the growth and optimization of digital distribution channels, including mobile apps, online banking and other self-service platforms. Work closely with IT and Experience and Transformation teams to ensure Libro's digital distribution channels are user-friendly, accessible, and equipped with the tools owners need for their financial journey. Advocate for continuous innovation and digital transformation within the organization. Build relationships with internal and external partners to drive innovation and collaboration.

Do you have 7+ years of progressive experience in digital banking, alternative delivery channels or financial technology with a significant portion in a leadership role? Do you have experience managing virtual sales strategies, digital distribution and open banking partnership initiatives? Do you have a proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency, drive performance, and achieve organizational goals?
