We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Inventory & Production manager to join our team. We are a vertically integrated apparel company manufacturing from yarn through finished goods, operating across DTC and wholesale channels. As our wholesale business scales, we are looking to hire a senior leader to own inventory commitment decisions and production execution.
This role is accountable for what gets made, when it gets finished, and where it goes, while managing the production team and balancing demand, capacity, cash, and space constraints.
Duties
Inventory & Buy Ownership
Own final buy quantities by style, size, and channel
Production Planning & Execution
Lead and manage the production team and translate approved buys into production schedules, line plans and WIP flow targets
Own production sequencing and prioritization
Monitor and manage, WIP aging, bottlenecks, yield and rework
Escalate risks early and propose tradeoffs
Implement and own decision gates across; Yarn ? fabric, Fabric ? cut, Cut ? finished goods
Maintain optionality as long as possible
Ensure production efficiency does not override demand reality
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with; demand/forecast owner, DTC/E-commerce and Finance
Act as the single point of accountability for inventory outcomes
Lead post-season and post-mortem reviews to improve planning accuracy
Accountability & Results
This role is accountable for:
Wholesale fill rate
DTC availability
Inventory turns
Excess & aging inventory
Establish and enforce channel allocation rules
Decide what inventory converts from fabric/WIP to finished goods and Is delayed, canceled, or capped.
Balance inventory exposure against fulfillment space, cash flow, wholesale commitments
Experience
5+ years proven experience in demand planning, supply chain analytics, or inventory management within retail or e-commerce environments.
Strong proficiency with ERP systems such as Netsuite or similar platforms; experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.
Knowledge of materials management, warehouse distribution logistics, 3PL coordination, and order fulfillment processes.
Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives using data analytics to streamline operations.
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Experience in vertically integrated manufacturing
Has owned both planning decisions and production execution
Comfortable making unpopular calls in constrained environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
