The Inventory Planning Analyst's mission is to ensure merchandise distribution in our stores, according to sales planning and pace, in a stimulating and ever-changing environment. The incumbent will support the Purchasing team, processing centre, and store managers. They will also communicate with stakeholders to ensure the procurement system runs smoothly and optimize merchandise shipment.
Responsibilities:
Optimize merchandise layout to maximize sales and profitability.
Set up and rebalance store inventories.
Manage the replenishment system's settings and rules, ensuring optimal allocation of inventory between the distribution centre and stores.
Analyze stock shortages and inventory overflow in stores and make the necessary corrections.
Solve problems and develop solutions to improve stock management and movement.
Prepare performance reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, certificate, or college diploma in Science, Business Administration, Operations Management and Logistics, or any other retail-related training.
Proficiency with the MS Office suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.
Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken, in order to communicate daily with store staff located across the country.
Keen analytical and logical thinker.
Sense of initiative.
Keen organizational skills.
Stock or supply management experience (an asset).
Knowledge of systems or applications related to supply chain management optimization (an asset).
