Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in a retirement and assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that all dietary needs of residents are met with the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. This role is essential in providing quality customer service and support within the food industry, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and residents preferences. Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Sanitate kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to maintain a clean and safe environment. Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery to patients. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding their meals. Participate in training sessions related to food safety and sanitation practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is advantageous. A background in the food industry or food service will be beneficial for this role. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service are essential. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $17.79-$24.90 per hour

Expected hours: 27 per week
