We are looking for a motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic Dining Room Manager for Westerleigh PARC. This is our flagship property in West Vancouver, where you can practice your well-honed skills, meet enticing challenges that help move PARC and your career ahead and you'll develop meaningful relationships with our residents and their families.

About the Job

  • As a Dining Room Manager, you play a key role in creating a top-notch, personalized dining experience for our residents and guests - and you're the first person they turn to with comments or questions.
  • You will hire, develop, lead and motivate our dining room team. You will also manage inventory, ordering and attend weekly meetings.
  • You will be responsible for conducting monthly department meetings and training schedules to enhance the service deliverables
  • You're an on-the-floor type of a leader. You will organize and manage special events but also assist to greet and seat residents, serve and provide bar service when needed.
  • You will work closely with our Executive Chef to support the Food and Beverage Team, assuring the highest standards of appearance and service
About You
  • You're fantastic with people and you communicate tactfully and professionally at all times.
  • You're a natural problem-solver, organizer and decision-maker. You work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have at least 1 year experience in a fast paced, customer facing, multi-faceted environment. Experience Hotel Food and Beverage or Seniors Living Environments is strongly recommended.
  • You have flawless phone manners and computer skills. You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher when drafting communications, making posters, tracking data. You've used Microsoft Outlook to book appointments and manage multiple inboxes.
  • You have a valid First Aid with CPR certificate, and have experience responding to medical emergency situations quickly and calmly.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and strong customer services skills.
  • You approach the needs of our residents, their families and the professionals engaged in their care with respect and understanding.
