Job Overview

Experience:

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Pre-press software

Experience with PMS, CMYK and GRACOL quality standards system and the ability to accurately perform colour corrections and colour matching

Experience with flatbed digital printers, roll to roll inkjet printers and toner based printers

The ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment, experience with various substrates and media

Network experience an asset

Good organizational skills with an exceptional ability to focus on the finer details

Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal

The ability to schedule and prioritize jobs to meet client deadlines

Responsibilities:

Review and process work orders to determine print job specifications (color, # of copies, etc.)

Perform file pre-flight and processing tasks

Calibrate and adjust printing equipment (replace ink, print heads, load substrate etc.)

Ensure quality control checks are completed during and after print run

Perform daily maintenance procedures as per manufacturers specifications and trouble-shoot minor equipment problems and make adjustments as required

Accurately record all charges on work orders

Multi-task between jobs to make effective use of equipment and time

Monitor and maintain material inventories

Help customer with inquires and the process

Assist with finishing/binding/mounting/laminating/packing/ shipping of jobs as required

Source various means of information to solve problems and identify new applications

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
