Duties



1. MMAC national events and activities will all be led by one or more board members, and supported by other team members like the Event Producer and Executive Assistant. There may also be chapter-level events or activities, which will also need to be facilitated. These events or activities may include seminars, workshops, conferences, lectures, meetings, networking events, social events or public communication materials.

2. Required activities for each event, activity or project may include a combination of the following:

Brand Identity:

Creating a uniform brand identity and strategy to be incorporated into content, to ensure consistency across all channels, platforms, internal and external documents and outputs

Graphics Design and content creation:

Design and development of digital (including graphics/audio/video) content and materials for print, website and all social media platforms

Social Media:

Effectively post regularly on all MMAC social media accounts including, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, TikTok, YouTube etc. to promote MMAC events, initiatives, announcements and any promotional undertakings. Engage with and build online audience using social media principles and tools including analytics, tags, hashtags, shortened links, influential graphics and captions/content etc.

Public Website

: regularly update and refresh the public MMAC website (muslimmeds.ca), Muslim Mental Health website (muslimmentalhealth.ca) and any other MMAC-related online website.

Newsletter

: Create digital content for monthly e-newsletter

Marketing:

Employing an effective and impactful marketing and dissemination strategy to maximize reach of target audiences through various and unique media. This may include the utilization of and maintenance of paid marketing avenues.

Event Coverage:

Facilitating AV requirements during events, and/or provide photo and video coverage.

Virtual meetings and events

: Setup, host and assist with MMAC Zoom and Google Meet meetings and events, as required.

Content Management:

Manage and maintain physical and digital network drives, media equipment, folders and files, as required.

Support:

Provide timely and efficient IT support and troubleshoot as needed
The

IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST

possess:

Digital media (graphics, audio, video, websites etc) technical skills and a demonstrated track record of developing and producing professional, high quality and effective digital content and materials quickly. A ?Portfolio demonstrating the quality of their work and their diverse technical skills, and this should be submitted alongside their CV and cover letter for consideration. Knowledge and experience in marketing, campaigns, and promotions. Knowledge and experience with digital data and trends analytics, SEO and/or brand strategy management is an asset. A bachelors degree and/or college diploma in or related to graphic design, digital art or digital media is preferred. Additional education in communications, marketing and/or brand management are considered assets. Ability to take an idea or vision and independently translate it into an almost finished product ?Creativity, a high attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines Experience working with non-profit or professional organizations. Previous experience working with public health or health-related organizations is considered an asset. ?Experience working independently as well as part of a team Fluency in English. Additional fluency in French and any additional languages is considered an asset. A desire to work as part of a non-profit organization that strives for impactful change at the local, national and international level, and is looking ideally for a long-term commitment ?A drive to innovate and utilize the latest tools and technologies to enhance the organization's digital media presence and support its activities. Be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
