Applications are invited for the position of Digital Media Associate, in the Marketing & Student Recruitment Division, located at the Welland Campus. The starting hourly rate is $31.05/hr (Pay Band F - $31.05/hr to $35.99/hr) for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary. This is an Appendix D, temporary position as per Article 17.3.1 of the Support Staff Collective Agreement and is set to commence in October 2025 and will conclude in November 2026. It may be subject to an extension by mutual agreement of the parties.



Reporting to the Manager, Digital Media, Marketing, the successful candidate will be an important part of the support, development, and execution of all digital and photography production-related projects, updates, processes, and requests for the College. In collaboration with college staff, the Manager, Digital Media, Marketing, and other stakeholders, the successful candidate will develop effective digital design solutions within defined communication and production objectives, from concept to final deliverables.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



Collaborate with the Manager, Digital Media, Marketing and the Digital Media Coordinator to support the shooting, storage and edit work to fulfill the annual digital media content calendar Collaborate on content strategy recommendations for NC's digital and social media platforms, including YouTube, and applicable videos for websites such as niagaracollege.ca and nclife.com Support the coordination of assets to suit emerging digital media opportunities Stay up to date on cutting-edge digital media strategies and platforms to enhance Niagara College's digital presence and online marketing effectiveness, both currently and in the future Serve as primary point of contact for main NC digital media development for platforms including YouTube and niagaracollege.ca and nclife.com Maintain and develop digital media production skill sets in accordance with professional output. Contribute to, monitor and maintain the Marketing department's Digital Media library Provide Digital Media support and guidance to other College staff regarding proper brand practices and protocols

Qualifications:



3-year diploma/degree or equivalent in Broadcast, Media Production, or related field Minimum 1 year of experience in developing, designing, and coordinating digital media content Significant experience with applicable digital media formats, platforms, and graphical standards Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Lightroom Ability to work independently with a keen attention to detail Work collaboratively with a large marketing team Superior written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to balance multiple priorities and requests Access to reliable transportation, travel between both campuses is required
