Role: Digital Marketing: Social Media Instructor Reports to: Director, Greystone College Programs Location: Greystone College in Vancouver, BC
Greystone College is a private vocational school established in 2002 and is proud to deliver premier quality career and vocational training in a stimulating, cross-cultural environment. The college offers vocational training programs in Business, Customer Service, Hospitality, Digital Marketing, and TESOL, with campuses in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal.
Greystone College Vancouver is currently seeking casual Digital Marketing instructors for evening classes: Mondays to Thursdays 5:15pm - 9:00pm PST. Reporting to the Director, Greystone College Programs, the instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction and facilitating student learning following the prescribed curriculum.

Job Duties: The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver engaging, dynamic and effective instruction that follows established curriculum and schedule in an interactive and student-centered
• Contribute to ongoing design and development of course materials and provide feedback on program efficiency.
• Complete all required preparation prior to course delivery, including Lesson Plans tailored to the class.
• Provide academic assistance in a variety of learning situations.
• Provide detailed written and verbal feedback to students on their academic performance in a timely and respectful manner.
• Maintain all course-related records up-to-date and submit information as required.
• Correspond with students, management and administrative staff as required during the course
• Complete all required teaching related administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Remain current in area of professional expertise and teaching methodologies.
• When required, assist new instructors.
• Demonstrate values and principles of professional conduct in all endeavors.
• Adhere to Greystone College policies and procedures, and assist in their implementation as necessary.
• Attend faculty meetings and training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director, Greystone College Programs.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• One of the following is required:
  • Diploma or degree in Digital Marketing or other relevant discipline with minimum of 2 years industry experience in digital and social media marketing/public relations, e-mail marketing and CRM software, content management, e-commerce platforms
  • 10 years industry-related experience in the above areas.
• Demonstrated professional development related to the area of instruction.
• Certificate, diploma or post-secondary degree in adult education or minimum 2 years teaching experience is a strong asset.

Skills:

• Solid understanding of digital marketing concepts, platforms and tools
• Strong public speaking abilities
• Experience teaching or mentoring others
• Experience in learning management system platforms such as Moodle is an asset
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office 365 applications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Commitment to excellence and strong attention to detail
• Open to giving and receiving feedback
