Role Overview
The Digital Marketing Executive plays a key role in managing and executing digital marketing initiatives for agency clients. This position requires someone who can develop digital marketing strategies, manage day-to-day execution across channels, and communicate effectively with both internal team members and clients.
This is a contract-based role with contracted hours, ideal for someone with agency experience who is comfortable working across multiple client accounts.
Core Responsibilities Overview
This role is built around four core responsibility areas. Candidates should be comfortable contributing across all areas, with strengths in some and working knowledge in others.
Strategy Development (Primary Responsibility)
? Develop digital marketing strategies for agency clients based on business goals, audiences, and channels
? Translate strategy into clear execution plans across social, SEO, and paid media
? Identify growth opportunities and recommend tactical improvements
? Align marketing activity with client objectives and KPIs
? Contribute strategic thinking during internal planning and client discussions
Social Media Management & Content Execution
? Manage client social media platforms across multiple accounts
? Create, design, and schedule social media posts
? Build and maintain social media content calendars
? Edit and refine client-provided content to ensure brand consistency
? Execute light to moderate video editing for social content
? Support content creation including graphics and short-form video where skill set allows
SEO & AI-Driven Search Optimization
? Support SEO initiatives including on-page optimization and content alignment
? Demonstrate working knowledge of modern SEO best practices
? Understand AI-driven search environments and content discoverability
? Assist with keyword research, content optimization, and internal linking
? Support backlink awareness and search visibility best practices
Paid Advertising Support & Execution
? Support and execute paid advertising initiatives across multiple platforms
? Assist with campaign setup, optimization, and monitoring
? Work with platforms including Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, and TikTok
? Support audience targeting, creative testing, and performance tracking
? Assist with reporting and ongoing campaign optimization
Key Responsibilities

? Edit and refine client-provided content to align with brand standards
? Execute light to moderate video editing for social and digital content

? Assist with backlink awareness, content optimization, and search visibility best practices
? Support and execute paid advertising initiatives, including:

? Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads

? Monitor performance and assist with reporting and optimization
? Collaborate with internal team members on strategy and execution
? Maintain professional, clear communication with clients
? Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Required Experience
? Minimum 2 years of experience working in a marketing agency environment
? Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
? Experience working directly with clients and handling client communication
? Hands-on experience with social media platforms and content publishing tools
Skills & Knowledge
? Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy and execution
? Proficiency in social media management and content planning
? Basic to intermediate video editing skills
? Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and AI-driven search concepts
? Working knowledge of paid advertising platforms and campaign structures
? Strong organizational and time management skills
? Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
? Clear written and verbal communication skills
AI Tools & Systems Knowledge (Required)
? Working knowledge of AI tools used across digital marketing disciplines
? Ability to use AI tools to increase efficiency without sacrificing quality
? Understanding of how AI can support content creation, SEO, paid media, and strategy development
? Experience implementing AI tools into workflows is a strong asset
? Candidates who bring ideas, concepts, or process improvements using AI are highly valued
AI tools are used to enhance speed, consistency, and effectiveness, not to replace strategic thinking or creative judgment.
Qualifications
? Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (preferred)
? Agency experience is required
? Experience with tools such as Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, content scheduling platforms, and basic design or video tools is an asset
