Overview



I'm seeking a skilled

Game Builder

with

digital design experience

to help me build a Telescape-based DEI learning game. The final experience will include

4 puzzle-based game rooms

using hotspot overlays, images I provide (with some graphic support), and simple game logic.

I also need someone who can support

ad hoc design needs

in the future, such as visual assets for holidays like Emancipation Day.

What You'll Do During this project:



Build 4 interactive game rooms in Telescape (mostly hotspots over static images) Create or enhance graphic assets (I'll provide the majority) Ensure visual and structural consistency across rooms Support 1 round of revisions post-beta test

Future Opportunities:



Design original, on-brand static images for upcoming DEI events and puzzles

Requirements



Experience with

Telescape

or similar platforms (e.g., Genially, Articulate, Unity, Twine) Familiarity with

hotspot logic, puzzle room flows, and simple conditional triggers

Strong digital design skills (Canva, Illustrator, Figma, etc.) Ability to follow brand visual style and apply consistent aesthetics Clear communication and light documentation of your process

Assets & Support



I'll provide: written prompts, puzzle themes, example images, slide text, and a visual brand to follow You'll build the puzzle rooms, clean up or create images, and test game logic before delivery

Duties



Design and produce high-quality digital assets for websites, social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms. Collaborate with marketing and content teams to create visually appealing graphics that align with brand guidelines. Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure designs are modern and relevant. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and improve design effectiveness. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Skills



Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles. Experience with web design principles, including responsive design and user experience (UX) best practices. Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus, but not required. Excellent communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly to team members and stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $32.17-$39.89 per hour
