The position will optimize digital media content and establish, monitor, and report on key performance metrics related to followers and public engagement. The incumbent will engage with the public, patients, community partners, and service providers through various digital channels, including on our patient clinical applications such as MyCare App , serving as an active and trusted voice in CancerCare conversations. Reporting to the Director of Communications, this role will actively share information on CancerCare Manitoba\xe2\x80\x99s services and providers and promptly address questions, concerns, and suggestions to foster knowledge, trust, and respect among all stakeholders as a safe and high-quality cancer organization. Qualifications: Education
Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications or digital media design
Experience
3 years experience in a social media communications capacity, preferably in a fast-paced corporate or healthcare setting
2 years experience providing expertise in leading digital media platforms such as Facebook, X(Twitter), Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn and websites
2 years experience with graphic design, videography and photography and working within Adobe CS and design software (Indesign)
An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Skills and Abilities
Excellent written communication skills, particularly optimized for concise, engaging and easy-to-understand format for social media platforms
Proficient with content publishing and monitoring tools (e.g. MeltWater, Hootsuite Google Analytics, Survey Monkey, etc.)
Friendly and engaging personality and demonstrated ability to build positive relationships.
Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings and able to lift and carry items
Prolonged periods of desk work and meetings, occasionally attending sites across the region to support content creation and stakeholder support
Position will involve being accessible during irregular or off hours and the potential for occasional remote work at various sites
The position holder must have a valid Manitoba driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and use a personal motor vehicle for regular travel within the province where public transport is not available.
