Job Description

Can-Traffic is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Digger Derrick Operator/Labourer to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in the installation, maintenance, and repair of street lights, traffic signals, pedestrian crossovers, signage, flashing beacons, and other traffic-related electrical systems. As a core member of a 3-5 person crew, you'll work year-round, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime, as well as occasional night shifts and out-of-town assignments.

What you will do Everyday

Support experienced technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals, street lighting, pedestrian crossovers, signage, flashing beacons, and other roadside infrastructure Ensure the safe and efficient operation of skid steers, mini excavators, and other small construction equipment Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, depending on your training and experience Perform general manual labour tasks as required on site Adhere to all safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and the public Keep the work area clean and organized by clearing debris, organizing materials, and properly storing tools and equipment Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and out-of-town assignments Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team Reliable, punctual, and committed to a strong work ethic Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma and a minimum 1 year of Digger Derrick experience Valid Alberta Class 3Q Driver's License Submission of a 5-year Commercial Driver's Abstract with fewer than 5 demerits
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.60-$34.50 per hour
