The home is designed with six neighbourhoods for 24 residents. Every neighbourhood has dedicated nursing stations, dining rooms, living rooms, libraries and activity spaces.At Moody Hall, we will introduce our innovative Main Street, a purposefully designed space that creates a charming, small-town atmosphere encouraging independence and community spirit among residents.Main Street is a vibrant hub that includes a cozy caf\xc3\xa9, a town hall, theatre, chapel and schoolhouse.The home is named after Dr. Harold Moody who was a prominent humanitarian and civil rights activist. He spent time in the Bloomsbury area of London where he set up his own general practice after being denied from hospitals because of the colour of his skin. About the Opportunity
  • Assists in the development of menus in accordance with therapeutic nutrition guidelines.
  • Assesses residents\' nutritional status on admission and at least semi-annually; reviews monthly weights and follows up as required.
  • Completes texture modification assessments on referral; participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Addresses residents\' individual dietary concerns.
  • Monitors use of nutritional supplements using the \xe2\x80\x9cShannex Nutritional Supplement Tools\xe2\x80\x9d and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Develops and establishes policies and objectives consistent with those of the organization and department to ensure achievement of clinical goals.
  • Manages expenditures and works to ensure compliance with approved budget.
  • Collects and enters appropriate data into Computrition software to ensure resident diet types and any likes, dislikes and allergies are accurately recorded.
  • Participates as a member of in-house interdisciplinary clinically focused committees
  • Communicates client nutrition care plans to residents/family/staff as appropriate.
  • Monitors and documents progress of residents as high nutritional risk utilizing the MDS Rugs RAI 2.0 documentation system.
  • Completes Quality Management Reports as required.
  • Communicates with other Dietitians to assess resident information prior to admission both to and from the facility.
  • Oversees and plans special nutrition needs for special diets, allergies and disease conditions.
  • Ensures resident safety by following and applying all standard operational procedures, safe work practices and training provided.
About You
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition with completion of approved Dietetic Internship Program.
  • Membership in professional association.
  • Experience in the provision of clinical dietetic services.
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition with completion of approved Dietetic Internship Program.
  • Knowledge of nutritional problems and concerns of resident population.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic meal planning.
  • CPR Certified
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Works and communicates with internal and external clients and customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner. Committed to quality service.
  • Displays a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
  • Asset: Previous long term care experience an asset.
