Job Description
Job Summary:
This position disassembles and assembles parts for finished products to ensure proper fit. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on Tractors coming off the assembly line.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works under the direction of the R&D Supervisor
- Disassemble and re-assemble parts for finished products
- Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
- Inspect finished products for proper functioning. Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning
- Diagnose problems. Perform adjustments and repairs
- Operate or tend to automated assembling equipment. Operate small cranes to transport or position larger parts
Qualifications:
- Mechanical education and/or work experience
- Experience in Diesel Engines required
- Previous vehicle mechanical experience is required
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems
- Good understanding of mechanical, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Must be a reliable worker
- Possess good manual dexterity
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well as a team member
- Capable of sustained physical effort
Working Conditions:
- 40-hour work week (Monday to Friday, eight (8) hours per day)
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Physically demanding
- Frequent standing, bending, walking, and stretching
- Lifting of light and heavy materials
- Noisy working area
