We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. Bartending experience a asset but can train.P/T to start but can work into full time.Flexible with a school schedule.Day shifts are typically 11-6.The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and grow within the food service industry. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Universal.
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly
Skills
Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices in the food industry
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and making change accurately
Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; hospitality background is a plus
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions
Food safety awareness and adherence to sanitation standards
Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation is advantageous but not required
