Work setting
----------------Willing to relocate Hospital/medical facility or clinic
Tasks
---------Analyze the patient during the treatments Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment, as required Train students or other medical sonographers Record, store and process scanned images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment Prepare examination reports for physicians Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation Operate electrocardiographs, cardiac ultrasound and other electronic equipment
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
----------------------------------------------------Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration Certification by a provincial or territorial association
