Passionate about exceptional patient care? Look no further! We're actively seeking a skilled and registered temporary full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Team Lead (Ultrasound Team Lead) to join our Brentwood team on a 3-month contract.



As the temporary Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Team Lead for our Brentwood clinic, you will empower ultrasound technologists to ensure smooth workflow, quality patient care, and adherence to protocols. Your role will involve providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members while fostering collaboration and communication among healthcare professionals across departments.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and mentor the Brentwood clinic ultrasound team, offering guidance, support, and feedback, while fostering a positive work environment. Contribute to the efficient management of workflow processes. Support recruitment efforts, help to facilitate onboarding processes, contribute to training new team members and practicum students, and spearhead continuous education and development programs to elevate the skills and knowledge of the ultrasound team. Assist with implementing and managing performance management strategies. Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure compliance with safety standards. Ensure accurate and efficient execution of ultrasound procedures in alignment with established protocols and relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and documentation requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to optimize quality and efficiency, upholding standards of patient care and safety. Participate in the accreditation process, including committee meetings. Act as a departmental bridge between Radiologists, Clinic Administration, X-Ray Technologists, and other departments, fostering collaborative relationships to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and enhance clinic efficiency. Develop proficiency in an advanced specialty skillset to support specialist clinics effectively. Adapt to additional responsibilities and emerging tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

A bachelor's degree or diploma as a diagnostic medical sonographer from a fully accredited Canadian academic institution. Additional certifications or training in leadership or management is preferred. CRGS credentialing through Sonography Canada. Minimum 2 years' experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer, proficient in diverse ultrasound procedures. Prior leadership or supervisory experience with strong people management abilities in team motivation, task delegation, and problem-solving. Proficiency in utilizing a variety of software programs and technologies, demonstrating adaptability and comfort in working with diverse digital tools A commitment to continuous professional development, including staying updated on advancements in people management, diagnostic medical sonography, and patient care.
