Full-time Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our team. This position is the first point of contact with patients and is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team in Diagnostic Services, which includes technologists, practitioners and radiologists.

This position requires a strong attention to detail, understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work collaboratively with health care professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

Appropriately schedule appointments (in-person , telephone and fax) using electronic medical record (EMR) software. Maximize appointment scheduling to ensure timely and efficient patient flow. Accurately document patient information and maintain confidential patient health records. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and policies & procedures. Work closely with clinician offices to provide pertinent information in a timely fashion. Learn and support all clerical roles within the department in order to provide quality patient experiences.

Requirements

Current vulnerable sector police check. COVID-19 double vaccinated. Proficient computer skills. Must be able to follow instructions accurately and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. Strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and health care professionals. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate patient care. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
