Position Summary: A hands-on introduction in both theory and practice to computer hardware, software, and open access/source digital tools targeting such areas as research documentation, typesetting, and basic image manipulation. Ethics and aesthetic concerns in traditional and multimedia documents are also discussed, and students develop a digital research project for deployment through a content-management system such as WordPress as contributors within the context of a project team.

Qualifications - Other: Research expertise and/or prior teaching experience in the subject matter of the course is an asset, especially with respect to basic content management systems, computer programming and typesetting, analogue and digital graphics and audio.
