Who You Will Work With:



As the DevSecOps, Senior Specialist, you will collaborating with the DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering team to design and implement the Next Gen platform and a reusable component library. This role involves working closely with product owners and solution architects to develop secure, scalable solutions, while actively participating in planning and refinement meetings. The vacant DevSecOps, Senior Specialist will contribute to the iterative development of platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with best practices in security and engineering. Reporting directly to the Leader of Platform Delivery, this position plays a key role in advancing the organization's cloud and DevSecOps strategy.




What You Will Do:



Develop the reusable components for DevSecOps and cloud. Deliver end-to-end automation & security controls Keeping our tooling and processes up to date with our evolving needs as we scale out both the user-base and the engineering team. Working closely with our development and product teams to understand their bottlenecks, and to mentor them on operational ownership. Improving our internal tooling (instrumentation, dashboards, deployment automation), as well as the infrastructural availability of our production services. Implementing and maintaining system configurations and baselines to support secure application development software control best practices and standards. Providing high-availability operational support and automated solutions across the environment. Implementing deep telemetry capabilities to provide ongoing success and performance metrics.

What You Bring:



Experience of implementing DevSecOps & automation capabilities 5+ years of delivery experience Experience in cloud automation and zero touch deployments Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or other related discipline. Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity. Ability to explain complex problems in simple language to non-technical people. Strong communication skills, including technical writing. Process driven, strong documentation and organizational skills. Focused problem solver, strong troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level. Good platform reliability engineering skills to ensure the platform you support is kept running 24/7.

Technical Skills:



Experience in pipeline development for Java, Springboot, and Javascript. Knowledge of Bash, Python, working with RESTful APIs. Experience with creating Ansible, Terraform playbooks. Experience in DevOps tooling and implementation. Experience with Docker or other similar containers technologies. Knowledge of Container Orchestration tools such as Openshift or Kubernetes. Experience in Cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS. Experience in event streaming technologies such as Kafka or Messaging Technologies such as JMS. Knowledge of Software defined routers such as Envoy or Nginx. Understanding of software design patterns.

The hiring range for this position is $130K-$140K, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan.
