What You'll Do

As a
DevSecOps Engineer
, you'll be at the intersection of development, operations, and security. You will be driving automation, scalability, and secure delivery across our infrastructure and software lifecycle. You'll work closely with engineering, security, and IT teams to embed security into every stage of the DevOps pipeline while ensuring high availability and performance.
In this role, You will:
Core Responsibilities

Own CI/CD and Automation Pipelines:
Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment. Automate repetitive tasks and implement rollback strategies to ensure safe, reliable releases.

Integrate Security into DevOps (DevSecOps):
Embed security controls into CI/CD workflows, including static/dynamic code analysis, secrets scanning, and container security. Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Manage Cloud and Container Infrastructure:
Deploy and manage workloads across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Lead containerization and orchestration efforts using Docker and Kubernetes in both cloud and hybrid environments.

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure.Promote consistency, scalability, and version control through IaC best practices.
Operational Excellence
Implement Monitoring and Observability:
Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, DataDog) to ensure both application and infrastructure health. Proactively detect and resolve performance issues and outages.
Lead Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
Respond to infrastructure and deployment incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes to improve system reliability and resilience.
Support Infrastructure Strategy and Resilience:
Contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness.
Optimize for Cost Efficiency
: Continuously evaluate infrastructure usage, licensing, and cloud spend to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement automation and architectural improvements that reduce waste and improve ROI.
Collaboration & Culture

Champion DevOps Culture:
Act as a bridge between development, QA, security, and operations teams. Promote a culture of shared responsibility, continuous improvement, and agile delivery.

Document and Share Knowledge:
Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, pipelines, and processes. Mentor team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Who You are
You have a post-secondary degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experiencein DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or security engineering.
3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
Proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and IaC frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiar with DevSecOps practices, including integrating security tools into pipelines and managing secrets.
Experience with
monitoring and observability tools
(e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Motivated to learn and participate in company-provided training regularly.
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, including effective communication, problem-solving, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English.
BONUS, if you also are...Certifications in AWS, Azure, DevOps, or Agile.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of microservices architecture.
Travel
You will be working mostly from the Richmond Hill Office. However, you will be expected to travel to each company site at least once annually to support cross-functional collaboration, participate in planning sessions, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
