Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Developmental Services Worker to support individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will provide personalized care, assist with daily activities, and promote independence within a community-based setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those served and possess excellent communication and caregiving skills.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility support Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and social skills Support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities through tailored interventions Facilitate communication using methods such as American Sign Language or other augmentative communication tools Provide direct support during community outings, appointments, and recreational activities Collect and document data related to progress, behaviors, and service plans accurately Administer medications following prescribed protocols when required Assist with home and community care tasks to ensure a safe and supportive environment Support families and caregivers through education and collaborative planning Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements

Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral health needs preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques Familiarity with medication administration, data collection, and documentation practices Strong communication skills, including experience with social work or caregiving roles Ability to work effectively with individuals requiring assistance with ADLs and personal care Valid driver's license for community outings and transportation responsibilities Experience in home & community care settings highly desirable Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of individuals served

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
