The Developmental Service Worker plays a vital role in providing 1 on 1 support and care to an individual with CDKL5. This position involves assisting the client in daily living activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The Developmental Service Worker will be working alongside the team in the home to deliver the best care.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including feeding, grooming, diaper changes, toileting and dressing.
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
Support client in daily living activities
Engage client in recreational and social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being like swinging, bike rides, walks and outings
Maintain a clean and safe environment for client
Assist client with mobility needs, including transferring and heavy lifting when necessary.
Skills

Experience in working with special needs adults
Ability to perform medication administration accurately and responsibly.
