If so, we are looking for a Development Manager who will be working on all aspects of software solutions being developed by the Legal Tech Innovation team. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members, other TR development teams, and TR Labs within a dynamic and innovative rapid development environment using the latest Cloud PaaS technologies. The successful applicant will be working with agile teams and stakeholders located locally and in remote locations. About the Role In this opportunity as Development Manager, you will:

  • Be a People Leader: Enthusiastically manage and motivate a team of software engineers located on-site and remote with varied skills and experience levels. Coach and mentor current and future leaders within the team; be responsible to proactively identify individual training needs, conduct performance evaluations, and maintain a healthy team culture.
  • Be a Project Leader: Strategically plan, design, and implement software to deliver value to customers. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, gathering time and resource estimates. Drive improvements in productivity.
  • Be a Technical Leader: Implement best practices as a knowledge expert in SDLC, object-oriented software design, customer analytics, testing and release, and working in an agile framework. Advocate for quality, performance, scale and agility within the team and with stakeholders. Ensure design and architecture are aligned with the global platform strategy and consider industry trends. Ensure fundamental quality practices are integrated in development lifecycle, such as automated unit tests and integration tests.
  • Be an efficient Stakeholder Manager: Collaborate and engage with external and internal stakeholders such as business teams and product owners to bring products to market. Act as point of contact in resolving stakeholder issues.
  • Be Customer Driven: Deliver high-quality reliable solutions that make S2S APIs easy for our customers to integrate with while continuing to serve their needs.
  • Be a Decision Maker: Utilize problem solving and analytical skills to make quick and effective data driven decisions and roll out strategies that align with company goals.
About You You’re a fit for the role of Development Manager Technology if you:
  • Possess hands-on experience and deep knowledge in software development, agile development processes & the .NET/Azure technology stack.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Have expertise in driving technology strategy and execution, while establishing strategic partnerships and delivering against product requirements.
  • Effectively prioritize work in close alignment with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication skills with relevant experience leading and influencing others, demonstrating an ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Deeply understand agile principles and have a proven track record of on-time project delivery following agile development methods and applying best practices.
  • Have experience working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with demonstrated multi-tasking skills.
  • Possess the ability to solve problems in large, complex software systems while maintaining a laser focus on system performance and scalability.
  • Recent experience and knowledge of .NET, Azure, and Angular.
  • Have experience leading cloud based software solutions.
  • Knowledge of JIRA/ADO, GIT, and Jenkins a plus.

  • Possess a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or similar
  • 10+ years experience in software development, design, and architecture. Experience with distributed systems patterns including microservices and asynchronous, message-based communication
  • Possess hands-on experience and deep knowledge in software development, agile development processes & the .NET/Azure technology stack.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Possess effective written and oral communication skills with relevant experience leading and influencing others, demonstrating an ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Recent experience and knowledge of .NET, Azure, and Angular.
  • Have experience leading cloud-based software solutions.
