Job Description


PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

With passion for real estate development and a keen eye for detail, the Development Coordinator works to support the Development Team by actively participating in all areas of the real estate development process including acquisitions, site feasibility, pro forma analysis, conceptual site planning, project design, construction, and municipal permitting and approvals. In addition to project specific tasks, the Development Coordinator may also be required to assist with departmental or cross-departmental duties to ensure an organized and efficient work environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Prepare municipal applications (Rezoning, Development Permits, Building Permits, etc.) and ensure all documentation for submission is accurately prepared/ready for submission;
  • Support Development Managers in coordinating consultants and/or internal team project communication and inputs (e.g. architecture, engineering, sales, marketing, etc.);
  • Maintain appropriate records and files for each project, including project proformas, project reports, meeting minutes, drawings, or other documents as required
  • Coordinate neighbourhood engagement meetings or other community outreach;
  • Conduct market research and keep the development team informed of market conditions by maintaining and summarizing key market statistics and indicators;
  • Help coordinate Disclosure Statement requirements and subsequent amendments as necessary;
  • Support the Development Managers through the the tendering and construction phase with responding to RFI\xe2\x80\x99s, SI\xe2\x80\x99s, etc.
  • Draft, submit, and review RFPs for consultants.
  • Review drawings for accuracy and completion
  • Support the Development Managers in allocating and coding project invoices and costs
  • Uphold the Values in all aspects of daily work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, Economics, Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field;
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with ability meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Office365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and Project
  • Previous construction experience is considered as an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to be reliable, positive, responsive, and results focused
  • Ability to anticipate needs and deliver on commitments
  • Creative and able to solve problems efficiently and effectively
  • Possess a valid BC driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
