Key Responsibilities

  • Identify areas for machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) opportunities within Field Operations and demonstrate to operational and executive teams how these will improve and bring value to their business
  • Partner with Bell\'s
  • strategic ML/AI team in the development of machine learning models and projects (from ideation to production)
  • Build and maintain a virtualized infrastructure and a framework to develop ML and AI projects
  • Participate in the Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) cycle
  • Develop preventive measures and produce documentation
  • Assist with APIs for ML model serving
  • Contribute to project meetings and report on the state of the problems
  • Maintain and improve the performance of existing infrastructure
  • Resolve operational problems in timely fashion, handle escalated issues and follow up on outstanding items promptly
  • Work with partners within Field Services large BI team and across Bell to apply algorithms and make data-driven business decisions
  • Maintain and expand your knowledge of ML, AI and technology through training opportunities, conferences, etc.
  • Facilitate sharing of ML/AI knowledge with the rest of the team
Critical Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree, or Masters in a discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Business analytics/Business Intelligence, Computer Science or related area
  • At least two years of experience with Python and Django frameworks
  • Hands-on experience and expertise with different machine learning frameworks such as Keras, Pytorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn
  • Excellent knowledge of machine learning concepts (Build, Train, Test Models and Predict) and algorithms (Regression, SVM, Random Forests, NLP and others\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab Runners and/or Jenkins
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong knowledge in data integration and enrichment (Hadoop and Kafka)
  • Highly analytical mind and solid understanding of the basic principles of working with large and complex data sets
  • Communication (spoken & written) skills suitable for executive audience
  • Critical thinker - demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems effectively
  • Highly motivated, proactive, self driven, autonomous and results-oriented with desire to influence and promote change
  • Transformational agent - agile and ability to mobilize resources and execute on critical initiatives needed to transform our business
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of container and virtualization solutions (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Good expertise with development by tests
  • Thorough knowledge of programming, design trends and software architecture (Powershell, .NET)
  • Knowledge of security principles
  • Strong preference for experience in Field Operations and/or Network
