Job Overview

The Collision Detailer Technician is responsible for performing high-quality detailing of vehicles that have undergone collision repair. This includes cleaning, polishing, and restoring both the exterior and interior of vehicles to a like-new condition before they are returned to customers. This role supports the collision team by ensuring every repaired vehicle leaves the shop looking impeccable.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and detail vehicles after collision repairs, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and polishing exterior and interior surfaces. Remove overspray, buff and polish painted surfaces to ensure a seamless finish. Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met before delivery to the customer. Maintain cleanliness of work area and detailing supplies. Ensure proper handling of detailing equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures. Assist in moving vehicles in and out of the shop or work area as needed. Collaborate with collision repair technicians and painters to ensure timely delivery of completed vehicles. Document work completed and report any issues or additional needs to the supervisor.

Qualifications

Previous experience in auto detailing, particularly in a collision or body shop setting, is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Ability to use buffers, polishers, and other detailing tools safely and effectively. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
