Job Overview:



APTIM is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to add to its Fort McMurray office. The role will be responsible for supporting the IT infrastructure and client support needs of our operations in the Wood Buffalo Region in town, remotely, and at our client sites.

Key Responsibilities:



Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone

Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware - Laptop / Desktop repair logistics with our vendor Dell

Laptop / Desktop / Tablet Corporate Imaging

Ticket Management / Recording

Asset Management for Wood Buffalo Area

Visits to project sites on an as needed basis

Minimum Requirements:



5 years of hardware and software experience

2+ years' experience on supporting Windows 10 in a corporate environment

Ability to provide effective support remotely

Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations

Good Knowledge of Windows 10 and troubleshooting

Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Ability to work some evenings and weekends during the turnaround season

Understanding of IT principles and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience of users both in the field and at the office

Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required

Good phone etiquette and correspondence with people

Comfortable working in a construction environment

Previous Help desk experience nice to have

Previous IT support in a Construction Environment nice to have
