Robert Half has a Desktop Support Technician role open that you might be interested in, if you have the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format. This Desktop Support Technician role is best suited for problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a short-term contract / temporary opportunity based in the Ottawa, Ontario, area.

What you get to do every single day

- Match hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

- Fix computer problems, and recommend appropriate action/solutions

- Support records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

- Maintain, analyze, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

- Give support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

- 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience

- Deep understanding of Ticketing System

- Solid understanding of Desktop Imaging

- Expertise in Microsoft Office 365

- Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

- Bilingual french and english
