  • Creating concepts, prototypes, and final UI for games and ensuring a consistent art style is maintained across the game based on Art Direction
  • Gathering references, user requirements, designing graphic elements, and building navigation components
  • Own the UI design process from start to finish, including rapid prototyping, user scenarios, wireframes, flows, iterations, and final asset creation, ensuring smooth engine implementation.
  • Designing & implementing optimal interface layouts and flows
  • Being able to prototype and quickly demonstrate complex flows when required
  • Creating assets and widgets in Unreal engine with the support of UI programmers, working with UMG and Blueprint editor
  • Adapting and collaborating with multiple teams in various disciplines
  • Demonstrating the ability to take ownership of features
  • Developing motion context designed for visualization purposes
Qualifications

  • Min 4 years of prior User Interface design experience, either professionally or on a completed mod
  • 1 shipped AAA project from start to finish with credits
  • Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc.)
  • Demonstrable appreciation of User Interface hurdles for PC versus console
  • Deep knowledge of design relating to user interface and ergonomics
  • Deep understanding of Information Architecture
  • Deep understanding of lean UX concepts
  • Strong knowledge of user research methodology
  • Strong traditional art skills along with core graphic design competencies (composition and layout, typography, color and light)
  • Strong Photoshop skills and basic video editing skills
  • Vector art creation (Flash, Illustrator)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work with several development teams, while maintaining consistency of design
