The primary responsability of this position is to meet with customers, design and finalize cabinetry projects, and assist in purchasing for custom cabinets. This position reports directly to the Design Manager and is accountable for ensuring projects are prepared accurately and on time for production. We are seeking an experienced, mature, and reliable designer with a strong client-service focus and deep knowledge of cabinetry design and construction.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Provide a high level of professionalism, service, and courtesy to both co-workers and clients. Ensure all deadlines are met with accuracy. Take initiative to fully understand and execute the company's policies and procedures. Be fully proficient with

Cabinet Vision design software.

Meet with clients in the Elegant Woodwork showroom and occasionally on site to review and document selections and design concepts. Educate customers, ensuring our processes and requirements are clearly communicated. Provide customers with knowledgeable advice, ensuring the end-product is both functional and beautiful. Coordinate and complete customer sign-off (final drawings, specs, selections, estimates, and deposit payment). Provide the production team with accurate drawings & selections. Participate in peer review prior to releasing designs for production. Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously. Attend meetings to coordinate drawings and resources, determine project criteria, and provide required information.

Required Knowledge and Skill Set

Product Mastery:

Deep knowledge of cabinetry products, including styles, materials, finishes, and customization options.

Design Experience:

Strong understanding of kitchen design principles, cabinetry construction, and appliance/hardware integration.

Experience:

10 years of industry design experience in new home construction or renovations. Preference will be given to those candidates who are proficient in

Cabinet Vision

Experience in customer-service-focused roles. Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate flexibility. Strong time management and problem-solving skills; ability to follow up and track multiple projects is a must.
