We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator/Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic objectives, as well as designing projects such as kitchens, bathrooms, dwelling additions, etc... This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for facilitating successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
Developing,designing and presenting design ideas to clients
Estimating costs and materials
Negotiating prices for items and materials
Meeting and talking to clients to understand their wants and needs
Oversee and help manage projects at each stage
May direct subcontractors, and other vendors
Visiting and meeting with suppliers and clients
Develop 3D and 2D models showing arrangements of walls, dividers, and other fixtures using computer
assisted design programs
Collaborate with licensed professionals in the technicals of load bearing, mechanical and electrical
design
Help and assist keeping the company stay organized by implementing and designing new systems (
such as but not limited to jobsite packages, quoting templates, etc )
Submit P&L statements to Project Manager
Help manage social media and charity events
Marketing and promoting
Other tasks as requested of you from time to time by the business based on company needs
Facilitate meetings, documenting minutes and action items to ensure accountability.
Identify potential risks or issues and work collaboratively with the team to develop mitigation strategies.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello).
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results under tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all deliverables.
Knowledge of use of 20/20 Design Live, and/or SketchUp
Knowledge of use of Canva is not required but is encouraged
Knowledge of use of Google Workspace, Gmail, and Google Docs
Valid Ontario drivers license and vehicle
Job is expected to start August 1, 2025, but will require 2-3 days for training prior to start date.
