Mechanical Engineer
One of our clients, a product based company in the transportation field, is a seeking a Mechanical Designer.
As a Design Engineer in the mechanical domain, you will engage in component-level design tasks, ensuring all designs are peer-reviewed and approved by the technical lead or an assigned mentor. You will support test planning, execution, and reporting while keeping your supervisor informed about progress and encountered issues. Additionally, you will contribute ideas for improvement and support quality and RCCA-related activities as needed. Your focus on hulls, propulsion, etc.
Responsibilities

• Complete component-level design tasks and regularly update the supervisor on progress and issues.
• Ensure peer review of all designs by the technical lead or assigned mentor.
• Support test planning, execution, and reporting under the supervision of the test lead.
• Share insights and ideas for improvement with the supervisor and support improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for self-development and raise ideas to the supervisor's attention.
• Support quality and RCCA-related activities as requested.

Essential Skills

• University degree or College Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Automotive experience in one of the key areas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Product knowledge in automotive, aerospace, or defense systems.
• Project management skills.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX, design, and GD&T.

Work Environment
This position requires working 100% onsite in a manufacturing setting. The role offers long-term opportunities with the possibility of contract extension or permanent conversion. It is an excellent opportunity to work at a leading defense company, focusing on custom military vehicles and developing new technical skills.
