Job Title: Design Engineering (Mechanical)
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves completing component level design tasks and keeping the supervisor informed on progress and any issues encountered. Peer reviews of designs by a technical lead or assigned mentor are part of the process. The role also includes supporting test planning, execution, and reporting under the supervision of a test lead. Sharing insights and ideas for improvement with the supervisor is encouraged, as well as identifying opportunities for self-development and supporting quality and RCCA related activities. Responsibilities

• Complete component level design tasks and keep the supervisor informed on progress.
• Ensure all designs are peer-reviewed by a technical lead or assigned mentor.
• Support test planning, execution, and reporting under the supervision of a test lead.
• Provide status updates to the supervisor on task progress.
• Share insights and ideas for improvement and support improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for self-development and raise ideas to the supervisor's attention.
• Support quality and RCCA related activities as requested.
• Focus on one of the following areas: Hull Additions, Hull Structures, Propulsion, or Survivability.

Essential Skills

• University degree or College Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant engineering experience.
• Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience in the automotive industry in one of the key areas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with design or project management.
• Knowledge of Siemens NX and GD&T.
• Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.

Work Environment
The position is 100% onsite in a manufacturing environment. It offers a long-term opportunity with a 12-month contract and the potential for extension or permanent conversion.
