The Team:



Having worked for many years with various levels of government on public infrastructure and facility projects, our staff understands the complexities that this type of assignment involves. We have helped our municipal clients successfully navigate through many road, servicing and facility projects. These clients repeatedly retain our services based on the experience our staff has in ensuring that their projects are completed on schedule and within their budget limits.

Responsibilities:



Prepare design drawings and perform design calculations based on engineering principles for a wide variety of water and wastewater projects, including, but not limited to, process piping, treatment plants, filtration systems, reservoirs, on-site systems, and pumping stations; Organize and prepare permit applications with municipalities or regulatory agencies; Liaise with municipal staff, contractors, the public, and equipment suppliers; Assist with the preparation of technical design reports and memos; Attend and participate in project team meetings, and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of project deliverables; Other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:



Degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) or working towards your designation; Minimum of 5-10 years related work experience, specifically with Municipal infrastructure projects including water/wastewater systems/structures experience (treatment plants, pumping stations, lagoons, on-site/leaching beds). Working knowledge of applicable software including Bentley, OpenRoads, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoCAD and MS Office Suite is an asset; Experience with preliminary and final design of water/wastewater facilities, as well as servicing, grading and drainage design; General familiarity of engineering principles and design standards as well as knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields; Technical report writing, written and verbal communication skills; Excellent time management and organizational skills; Problem solving skills accompanied by strong attention to detail; Experience with agency approvals and permitting.
