Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Review customer drawings, specifications and production routings for new purchase orders

Develop engineering designs and shop fabrication drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations and other data

Ensure detailed drawings are prepared and transferred to the Sales Representative, Production Manager, and/or client

Convert 2D sheet metal parts into 3D

Engineer and detail 3D models, assemblies and sub-assemblies using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks

Update drawings as projects are implemented

Maintain all drawing records and CAD files

Comply with all quality-related policies, procedures and system requirements

Adhere to strict deadlines and ensure project completion

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary degree in Engineering Technology or Design Engineering

3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry

Proficient in SolidWorks (creating sheet metal components, assemblies and drawings)

Proficient in AutoCAD

High energy level and positive attitude

Must be able to work without direct supervision and as part of a team

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent time management and organization skills required

Must effectively work under pressure and tight deadlines

Excellent attention to detail

Work Conditions:

Clean, well-lit, quiet standard office environment

Mostly long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers

May work overtime, as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
