At AirPro, we manage all Integrated Support Services (ISS) activities--encompassing engineering, logistics, maintenance, IT systems, infrastructure, and material support--throughout the entire product lifecycle. Our dedicated team ensures that Canada's state-of-the-art search and rescue aircraft are always mission-ready, performing at their peak when it matters most.
In this role, you'll be the engineering backbone that ensures our aircraft rise to every challenge, equipped to handle whatever the mission demands. You'll collaborate closely with the OEM and maintenance teams to address engineering activities related to our In-Service Support operations. While your focus will be on aircraft mechanical systems you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to other engineering areas such structures, powerplant, avionics, mission systems, and more. A strong engineering team is vital to creating a robust search and rescue program, and we need your ingenuity and expertise to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to effectively support the Engineering deliverables.
Ensure compliance with the Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM) for all Mechanical Support System activities.
Tackle airworthiness issues related to design changes, develop Special Inspections, and implement Service Bulletins for Mechanical Systems.
Coordinate engineering tasks with personnel within the Acceptable Technical Organization (ATO).
Participate in Engineering and Airworthiness Working Groups, as well as Technical Review Meetings.
Support the OEM in maintaining the Mechanical Systems Integrity Monitoring Program.
Provide troubleshooting support for technical problems, both on-site and remotely.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support customer-driven initiatives.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace).
A minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace engineering.
Knowledge of mechanical systems preferred although support across specialties desirable.
Proven ability to work autonomously with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both in person and virtually.
Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong communication skills.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Willingness to travel within Canada and internationally as required.
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Assets):
Experience with the C-295.
Familiarity with DND programs or previous work with DND.
Knowledge of the DND Technical Airworthiness Manual.
Experience in ATO or ADO settings.
Understanding of avionics, mission systems and equipment
Understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
Understanding of powerplant system.
Understanding structural repair concepts.
Proficiency in additional languages such as French or Spanish is a plus.
