Do you have expertise in contract preparation and documentation standards? Are you experienced in developing, integrating, and implementing construction and material standards? In this role working under the Highway Design Office, you'll apply your technical knowledge to engineering applications, manage public-facing website, and help shape the tools and processes that support Ontario's transportation projects.

In support of the Ministry's engineering core-business and strategies, this position is responsible leading and coordinating the development and administration of design application policies and procedures that guide the Ministry's contract preparation, plan design, and tendering practices. The successful candidate will also provide expert technical guidance and analytical advice to engineering, technical and consultant staff through in-depth knowledge of the contract preparation/documentation standards and procedures, management of the Contract Preparation System (CPS), and administration of public-facing website to ensure accurate and timely information delivery.



NOTE: The successful candidate for this competition may work out of one of the following office locations for the duration of this temporary assignment:

advanced knowledge of highway design, construction, and maintenance policies, principles, terminologies, and practices and the ability to provide expert advice on these matters advanced knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards and their impact/usage on Ministry-specific construction provisions and procedures strong knowledge of Ministry organizational structure to effectively coordinate contract documentation changes
