Job Description

A career as an Application Analyst Electronic Trading at National Bank means that you will be a Technology Support Specialist for electronic trading activities.



This position allows you to have a positive impact on our organization thanks to your expertise in market systems, your understanding of transaction flows and your ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Your job

Analyze and understand current and emerging trading technologies in the sector, both within and outside the organization Act as an expert in the application and its functionalities Review, test and deploy market data flows and order entry systems, provide day-to-day support for electronic trading platforms and all their technical components Actively participate in engineering design discussions and produce the necessary functional and design deliverables Meet business needs by breaking down requests, estimating the effort required and ensuring continuous delivery based on agile principles Continuously improve technological performance by optimizing processes and identifying effective solutions, monitor technology, propose innovative ideas and participate in their evaluation and implementation Take charge of post-market activities, such as managing drop copies and monitoring related operations Rigorously document support, maintenance and referral activities using the tools provided, collaborating closely with internal partners and external suppliers.

You are part of a large team of 15 colleagues in the Electronic Trading sector and will report to the Senior Manager Trading Technology.

Prerequisites

A university degree in computer science, software engineering, finance or a related field with several years of experience Experience in software development, telecom or server administration (an asset) Good knowledge of trading systems (EMS, OMS, SOR) and Canadian financial markets (an asset) Proficient in the Linux, Wintel, AWS environments and Python language (an important asset) Knowledge of FIX, MQ, JSON, XML and SFTP (an asset) Strong ability to manage priorities in a dynamic and pressured environment.
