About the role
The Deputy Technical Lead-Test Program will join the River Class Destroyer LBTF technical leadership team and be responsible for the overall planning, development, and execution of the LBTF test program. In this capacity the candidate will drive the recommended LBTF test program planning and work collaboratively with the customer, the various LBTF vendors/equipment suppliers to refine a test program including equipment acceptance and integration testing in preparation for shipboard trials. The candidate will also be responsible to work with the combined LM/Customer design team to ensure that the design of the lab will meet the needs of the LBTF test program.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the overall LBTF I&T strategy and plan, ensuring alignment with project objectives working collaboratively with the customer to ensure the test program.Co-chair and LBTF working group with the customer to drive the development of the test program in conjunction with the various LBTF stakeholders
  • Lead a multifaceted team of Integration & Test Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with cross -functional teams, including design engineers, and operational stakeholders, to define requirements, lead development of Test & Trials, and oversite in the execution of the RCD LBTF I&T program.
  • Oversee the execution of integration and system tests, ensuring timely completion, quality, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage the required test resources, personnel, and equipment, to optimize I&T efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify, mitigate, and communicate I&T risks, ensuring proactive risk management and contingency planning.
  • Facilitate lessons learned and post -project reviews to drive process improvements and knowledge transfer.
  • Represent the I&T function in defined program meetings, stakeholder communications, and required technical presentations.
  • Management and execution of the master Test Sequence Network (TSN) and I&T Schedule
What you bring to the role
  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Integration & Test for complex ship systems or similar large-scale engineering projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading I&T activities, demonstrating strong project management and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Integration & Test principles and ship systems.
  • Experience with Agile or DevOps methodologies.
  • Proficiency in I&T planning, execution, and reporting using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
