We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations of our dental practice, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring smooth administrative processes. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and experience with various electronic health record (EHR) systems. Dental assisting experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Assist with medical collections as necessary.
Utilize EHR systems such as ClearDent
Ensure the front office is organized and that all clerical duties are completed in a timely manner.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and health information management practices.
Proficient in using EHR systems; experience with ClearDent or similar software is a plus.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency and typing skills (10 key typing).
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to enhance patient interactions.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Knowledge of insurance verification processes and clinic experience is advantageous.
