We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our amazing team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for reception duties as part of our of our front desk team, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in dental software, and a solid understanding of dental and medical terminology.
Duties
Greet patients as they arrive and provide them with necessary information about their appointments.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental software and manage the office calendar effectively.
Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries and directing calls as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including verifying insurance information and collecting payments.
Assist in managing inventory of office supplies and dental materials to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and provide exceptional customer service.
Utilize knowledge of dental and medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans.
Requirements
Previous experience of
at least 2 years
as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office setting
Proficiency in Paradigm software is an asset.
Strong understanding of dental and medical terminology related to dental practices.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
