Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in office procedures, and familiarity with dental terminology and software.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Manage phone systems to answer calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix. Verify patient insurance information and process necessary documentation. Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the office. Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies. Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care as needed. Uphold confidentiality standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is preferred. Proficiency in using office equipment and phone systems. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with electronic medical records software; knowledge of Epic and Dentrix is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism.
